Christie has announced the expansion of the popular
Christie Matrix Series of proven 3-chip DLP® projectors with the introduction
of the new Christie Matrix WU Series.
Designed for the requirements of high-performance simulation, the
Christie Matrix WU2, Christie Matrix WU5 and Christie Matrix WU12 models feature
true WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution.
Increased resolution, flexibility and powered for system solutions, the
new Christie Matrix projectors deliver greater image detail to meet the demands
of applications such as maritime, flight and air traffic control simulation.
Purpose-built to handle even the most challenging of
today’s simulation display requirements, the Christie Matrix WU Series features
proven 3-Chip DLP technology and a low maintenance of 650,000-hours
Mean-Time-Between-Failure for the Digital Micromirror Device (DMD). The
Christie Matrix WU Series is available in 2400, 5100 and 12,000 ANSI lumens and
includes AccuFrame™, which nullifies image artefacts and smearing in high-speed
simulation. Excellent colour, brightness
uniformity and display control allow for cost effective solutions for the same
simulation display requirements.
The Christie Matrix WU2 and WU5 models utilize a Color
Purity Filter (CPF™) to enable excellent color saturation and colour
matching. In addition, Christie’s
SuperCR™ technology, which provides a contrast ratio of up to 2000:1, delivers
superior black levels for unsurpassed day and night scene blending.
The new Christie Matrix Series WUXGA models come with
standard features such as Christie Twist™ image warping and edge blending, RGB colour
matching, full control of gamma curve and greyscale tracking. They also include the industry-first,
Christie AccuFrame™, which significantly reduces visual artefacts caused by
fast-moving objects. With high input bandwidth and less than one frame of
propagation delay, the projection systems are suited to many applications and
are also an ideal CRT replacement solution. www.christiedigital.com
