Whether you’re working with the super high resolutions of dual link DVI or conventional single link DVI, Gefen offers two new extenders that deliver flawless video resolutions long-distance. This allows you to view your high resolution computer data on a DVI display when the computer is located thousands of feet away, safely stored in a rack or computer room. Both systems use standard sender and receiver units, connected by fiber optics cabling to guarantee a steady and reliable signal delivery.

DVI-3500HD

Ideal for professional computer users, this extension system sends DVI, USB, RS-232 and analog audio up to 6600 feet (2km). Unique to this system is the ability to view and access computer data using a DVI display and USB keyboard/mouse at both local and remote locations. You select your destination using a tiny switch on the sender unit. When in local mode, the computer will deliver data to the local DVI display and USB keyboard/mouse; when in remote mode, the computer will deliver date to the remote DVI display and USB keyboard/mouse with analog audio and RS-232 delivered concurrently. RS-232 allows for integration with automation systems for remote control while analog audio complements the video.

DVI-2500HD

Dual link DVI resolutions up to 2560x1600 at 60Hz are delivered from the computer to the remote display using this sender/receiver extension system. Four fiber optics cables connect local and remote destinations up to 6600 feet (2km) in distance. By employing virtual DDC technology, this system enables a purely fiber method of signal extension.

Both systems run on two 12v power supplies. They are currently shipping and include all local connection cables. Gefen’s standard, two-year warranty guarantees a quality performance.
