Bosch Security Systems has announced that Gert van Iperen has been
appointed chairman of the Board of Management. He succeeds Uwe Glock, who will
become the chairman of Bosch Thermotechnology at the same time. Previously,
Gert van Iperen was a member of the board of management of Bosch Security
Systems and was responsible for the worldwide product business. Peter Ribinski,
currently a member of the Bosch Power Tools divisional board, will be replacing
van Iperen at the same time. At Power Tools, Ribinski was responsible for the
production and logistics divisions.
Uwe Glock has been the head of Bosch Security Systems since 2001. He is
now replacing Joachim Berner, who is retiring at the end of June. The acquisition of the Philips
subsidiary Communication Security & Imaging B.V (CSI) in 2002 brought Gert
van Iperen to Bosch. He was initially responsible for video surveillance system
products. Since 2005, he has been a member of the board of management of Bosch
Security Systems. www.bosch.com
